Din Tai Fung Restaurant 鼎泰丰

Once speaking of Din Tai Fung, it will make people imagine and linking to their signature and symbolize Xiao Long Bao. However, when this too famous branding spread over the world, how the name Din Tai Fung appears? How does it comes out and born? The legend of Din Tai Fung begins at this way.

The founder of Din Tai Fung, Yang, was working as a delivery agent for his first job at Taiwan. Two years later, the boss handed him to manage the account and the goods in the shop, due to his responsible and honesty, hardworking too. He married with his wife in age 28, and works in the same shop for almost four years. Yet, because of the failure of invest, the boss have no choice, but to close down the shop. Hence, Yang and wife had to leave.

The Yang couple decided to start their own business, which are the first idea of Din Tai Fung and the bone of it. Later on, they accepted the suggestion of Tang, which makes them change their shop which is sells oil to a new concept where they sells oil, yet at the same time they also sells Xiao Long Bao. And surprisingly, without any promotion, their Xiao Long Bao become words of mouth, and being spread through and recommended among their customers. Thus, their business becomes better and better, since then their journey become of the international brand started.

Today, Din Tai Fung do have their outlets world wide, and they can be seen in Malaysia, too. Now they are located in The Gardens, Midvalley. Malaysians unnecessary to wonder when they can try out the dishes from Din Tai Fung as it already have a branch here and they can visit the restaurant and try those dishes they wanted. The ambiance is welcoming and warm; it is suits for gathering, both lunch and dinner.

Here, you may try out their signature Taiwan style food, not only that, with just enjoy the amazing skills of the chefs, how they wrapped the Xiao Long Bao from the open kitchen, it is already worth everything. No wonder their signature Xiao Long Bao always be the hottest item in their restaurant.


提到鼎泰丰,总是先让人联想到,个个小巧精致如玲珑般的小笼包。如是想,也无可厚非。然而,在这样盛名之下,鼎泰丰这个名字是从何而来?又是如何诞生呢?鼎泰丰的传奇是这样开始的。

鼎泰丰创办人杨秉彝先生,他在台湾的第一份工作,就是在恒泰丰担任送货员。两年后,由于工作勤快,为人忠厚老实,老板便开始让他负责看帐和管理店内进出货。二十八岁时与同样在恒泰丰工作的赖盆妹结婚。婚后继续在油行工作了三、四年,直到有一天,老板因为转投资失误,使得恒泰丰受到牵累,一蹶不振,最后油行被迫解散,秉彝夫妇只好不舍地离开。

离开油行后的秉彝夫妇决定自行创业,而也于此构成了鼎泰丰的雏型。再后来,机缘巧合下接受『复兴园』唐老板的建议,把原本卖油的店面改成一半卖油,一半卖小笼包。而鼎泰丰的小笼包在毫无宣传之下,凭着真材实料,客人吃过皆赞不绝口,吃过的客人一个带一个地上门,生意极佳。就这样,鼎泰丰结束掉油行的营运,正式经营起小笼包与面点的生意,而鼎泰丰成为国际品牌的传奇故事也就此展开。

到了今天,鼎泰丰遍布各大城市,进军大马市场,在谷中城购物中心里设立分店。本地人有口福了,不必再朝思暮想鼎泰丰小笼包的味道,现在就可以亲身试试,一探究竟。店里环境优雅,适合三五知己聚餐,何乐而不为?

在这里,你可以尝到道地的台湾美食。不止如此,光是从开放式厨房欣赏厨师们的神乎奇技的包小笼包技巧就值回票价,看他们快得出神的功夫,难怪小笼包是他们最耍家的招牌菜。

Xiao Long Bao, the famous signature dishes of Din Tai Fung Restaurant, the skin of the dumpling is thin and it is juicy inside with the hot soup.

小笼包,鼎泰丰的镇店之宝,外皮薄如羽翼,内里多汁鲜美,不愧为一绝。
Shrimp and Pork Dumpling, it is similar with the Xiao Long Bao, but it taste different with the shrimp.

虾肉蒸饺,与小笼包有点像,不过鲜味更浓,相信是虾的缘故。
Braised Beef La Mian, followed the Taiwan recipe and the beef braised for at least 3 hours to get the soft and tender texture.

红烧牛肉拉面,依台湾食谱制作,牛肉需熬制最少三小时以使牛肉肉质嫩滑。

元盅鸡汤,用了鸡只不同的部位熬制而成,精华尽在一盅。
Pork Chop Fried Rice, the fried rice with combination of the crispy and delicious pork chop into one plate, one of the hottest items.

猪排蛋炒饭,一碟集美味炒饭还有鲜嫩猪排的食物,店内其中一样热卖食品。
Cha Jiang La Mian, the traditional Shanghai style food, with spicy minced meat and Shanghai noodle.

炸酱拉面,传统的上海式食物,伴肉碎及上海拉面条同食。

芋泥小笼包,除了豆沙小笼包以外,另一道特色甜品。

价格不公道, 3 star 给 5 star 的价格。。小笼包的味道一般而以。。。
